Mitch started his career shooting cover art and directing promos for Indie labels as well as shooting for the music press and broadsheets. Regular commissions came from The Times and The Sunday Times Magazines, becoming their regular celebrity portrait photographer.
Over the years Mitch has visually helped redefine the classic and cross-over music market, shooting for Decca, Deutsche Gramophone, Warner’s, Universal Classics and Jazz, EMI and Sony BMG.
Mitch’s portraiture is constantly in demand, creating prominent poster and press campaigns for TV series such as House, CSI, Grey’s Anatomy and Prison Break (series 1, 2 and 3).
On this side of the Atlantic he has worked with the BBC, Channel 4, Five and continues to collaborate with SKY One, shooting Ross Kemp in Afghanistan, Gladiators, The Take, Lost and several new shows to be screened in the coming months. He recently picked up several Promax awards for his poster campaign for A&E, shooting ten shows and helping to rebrand the network. Recent film work has been with Paramount Pictures for Watchmen and Lionsgate for Blitz with Jason Statham.
Mitch continues to shoot editorially.
Within the world of Advertising, Mitch has been photographing campaigns for some of the world’s top brands including: Sony, Vodafone, Nikon, Microsoft, Peugeot, MasterCard, Sony Eriksson, Dunhill (Men’s fashion), Diego and BMW.
At present Mitch is working with graphic novelist Alan Moore on "Unearthing," a multi media project with Top Shelf Productions and Lex Records to be released in 2010.
