Simon Ladefoged’s interest in everyday aesthetics led him to become a photographer in 1995. He has since developed a fascination of the things that surround us: lines, colors, texture and composition.
He published his first book in 2001, followed by an exhibition at the Photographic Centre in Copenhagen. Nominated several times at the Guldkorn by Creative Circle, Simon won first place for best advertisement in 2004.
Commercially, Simon shoots campaigns for Coca-Cola, AstraZeneca, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Maersk Sealand, Scandinavian Airlines, Maersk Air, Radio 100, the Danish Red Cross, TUC, Danske Bank, Navision, Sonofon and Nordea Bank.
He has also recently begun working as director of photography on several commercials for Danish companies, including OK Petrol, Danske Bank and T-Hansen.
Simon’s editorial clients include Wallpaper, Tokion, IdN, Scandinavian Living, Euroman and the Swedish design magazine Forum.
